OUR KEY PEOPLE
Inigo Lopez
CEO
Inigo Lopez is a seasoned business executive with more than 20 years’ experience in management positions in global and multicultural companies.
Prior to BiCortex, Inigo co-founded Eszett Business Language Services, and before that, he had several management positions in Sales, Marketing and Customer support in Telecommunications, software, IT and International Trading companies, and has been an expatriate in Ireland, the UK, France and Brazil.
He holds an MA in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Cantabria and an Executive MBA from ESIC. Inigo is a native Spanish speaker and has business level fluency in English, French and Portuguese. Additionally, he has a B2 level in German and B1 in Italian.
Kirsten Thornton
Client Services Director
Kirsten joined BiCortex in 2023 and previously had a varied and rewarding career in criminal law, politics and the third sector.
She holds a Masters in Criminal Justice from Strathclyde University, and a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and Bachelors in Law from Dundee University.
Her studies and professional experience reflect her eye for detail as well as her ethics of fairness and openness.
Kirsten is Scottish and moved to Spain in 2020 with her German Shepherd. She has since collected another six rescue dogs and enjoys taking them to the beach or exploring the nearby mountains with them.
She speaks intermediate Spanish, basic French and beginner Russian.
Marie Tyler
HR, Languages and Cultural Training Manager
Marie Tyler is an experienced and highly qualified manager.
She has worked for BiCortex for over 5 years and brings to her role at BiCortex over 17 years’ experience in the business banking sector, over 10 of these years have been in management roles.
Marie has worked in the business environment for over 17 years, for companies including Lloyds Banking Group, where she was a Team manager of more than 20 colleagues, for which her performance was always rated as a strong performer on her yearly reviews. Within this role, Marie created a solid team able to achieve service levels by providing an excellent service to customers and completing their work to a high level of quality.
Marie Tyler completed her education in the United Kingdom with eight GCSES, as well as three A levels from North Halifax Grammar school in Sociology, Psychology and History.
Marie is British native and currently resides in Italy with her family including her two year old daughter. She has been in Italy for over eight years, and she is fluent in Italian, although she has also lived and worked in France. She loves learning about other cultures.
Diana Jara Morillo
Translations and Legalisations Manager
Diana joined BiCortex in 2023 as a Translations Coordinator and quickly advanced to a Senior role before being promoted to Translations and Legalisations Manager.
She brings over 10 years of experience working in international environments, specialising in languages and document management. Her background includes roles as a translator, project manager and vendor coordinator.
Diana holds a double bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting Studies and Humanities. She currently lives in Southern Spain, following several years of study and professional experience in Ireland.
Known for her passion and precision, Diana has a keen eye for detail and excels at maintaining strong organisation both in day-to-day tasks and complex project scenarios. A true team player, she values excellent service and clear communication across all parties involved in Immigration processes.
She speaks Spanish, English and intermediate French.
Ieva Kaleininkaite
Senior Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator
Ieva Kalenininkaite is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in project management and HR coordination, specializing in fostering inclusivity and cross-cultural collaboration.
In her role, she is responsible for managing the hiring process for language trainers, onboarding, and providing continued support for trainers, worldwide.
Ieva’s previous experience includes working as a Projects Manager for Common Purpose, where she managed multiple leadership programs for emerging and senior leaders both in Europe and around the globe.
Ieva holds a BA (Hons) in Media and Communications from the University of East London, United Kingdom. She is a native speaker of Lithuanian, fluent in English, and basic in Portuguese. She is currently based in Portugal.
Brenda Bravo
Senior Legalisations Coordinator
Brenda joined BiCortex in 2024. Previously, she worked in the Global Trade industry in both private and public sectors.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade and a Master’s degree in International Relations.
Brenda is from Argentina and moved to Italy in 2023. She likes to travel and go for walks in nature.
She speaks intermediate Italian and basic German.
Alexia Lasala
Senior Translations Coordinator
Alexia Lasala joined BiCortex in 2022 following the acquistion of iTradactores. She brings a diverse professional background, having initially studied law. She has a Bachelor’s in Law and a Master’s in Legal Practice, as well as a Master’s in Cultural Management.
She worked in the art sector before deciding to pursue another passion: Languages.
In the past few years, she lived in France, Canada, and Italy, gaining valuable international experience.
In her current role, she enjoys taking on new challenges, with her team, finding particular satisfaction in providing the best possible service to clients.
Originially from Barcelona, she speaks Catalan, Spanish, English, and French, with an intermediate level in German. She enjoys playing tennis, swimming in the sea, and diving into a good book.
Danijel Dimac
Senior Training and Recruitment Coordinator
Danijel Dimac is an experienced training and recruitment professional specialising in international talent acquisition, onboarding, and trainer coordination across multicultural environments.
At BiCortex Languages & Translations, he supports both the Language & Cultural Training and Recruitment teams, contributing to global trainer recruitment, training coordination, onboarding processes, and ongoing trainer engagement, ensuring efficient workflows and high service standards across international projects.
Danijel is recognised for his proactive approach, strong organisational skills, and commitment to inclusive hiring practices, helping build diverse global trainer networks and supporting effective collaboration across international teams.
He is a native Croatian speaker, fluent in English, with basic proficiency in Portuguese, and is currently based in the beautiful south of Portugal.
