Inigo Lopez
CEO
Inigo Lopez is a seasoned business executive with more than 20 years’ experience in management positions in global and multicultural companies.
Prior to BiCortex, Inigo co-founded Eszett Business Language Services, and before that, he had several management positions in Sales, Marketing and Customer support in Telecommunications, software, IT and International Trading companies, and has been an expatriate in Ireland, the UK, France and Brazil.
He holds an MA in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Cantabria and an Executive MBA from ESIC. Inigo is a native Spanish speaker and has business level fluency in English, French and Portuguese. Additionally, he has a B2 level in German and B1 in Italian.

Marie Tyler
HR MANAGER
Marie Tyler is an experienced and highly qualified manager and brings to her role at BiCortex over 16 years’ experience in the business banking sector, over 10 of these years have been in management roles.
Marie has worked in the business environment for over 17 years, for companies including Lloyds Banking Group, where she was a Team manager of more than 20 colleagues, for which her performance was always rated as a strong performer on her yearly reviews. Within this role Marie created a solid team able to achieve service levels by providing an excellent service to customers and completing their work to a high level of quality.
Marie Tyler completed her education in the United Kingdom with eight GCSES, as well as three A levels from North Halifax Grammar school in Sociology, Psychology and History.
Marie is British native and currently resides in Italy with her family including her one year old daughter, she has been in Italy for about seven years, Marie has also lived and worked in France and loves learning about other cultures. She is also fluent in Italian.

Luke McLeod
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Luke McLeod is an experienced and highly qualified manager and brings to his role at BiCortex over 15 years’ experience in the communications sector.
He holds an MA from the University of London (UK) in Latin American Studies (Distinction level) and a BA (Hons) from the University of Sussex (UK) in English and Spanish (First Class). He’s always had strong international interests together with a love of languages, having completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma at the Red Cross Nordic United World College in Norway (including studies in German, Spanish and basic Norwegian) and an Advanced Portuguese Certificate from Kings’ College London.
Prior to BiCortex, Luke worked for Eszett Business Language Services, and before that he worked in journalism, having been a Senior Correspondent at the Financial Times in Brazil covering business, economics, finance and politics across Latin America and as a Deputy News Editor at UBM London, along with other editorial roles at the BBC and The Economist.
Luke is British native. He has extensive experience of relocating overseas and adapting to new cultures and languages, having lived in the UK, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Norway, Germany and now Portugal.
He is fluent in Portuguese and has a good understanding of Spanish as well as intermediate German.

Maggie Williams
Global Client Services Director
Maggie joined BiCortex in 2019 following a clinical and operational managerial career over 15 years for the National Health Service at a number of UK hospitals.
Maggie has a degree in Emergency Health Care from Coventry University and implemented and managed a team of specialist Practitioners within one of the UK’s busiest Accident and Emergency Departments. She then moved into an operational role, managing 50 operating theatres across three hospital sites. She also taught on national courses, provided ‘train the trainer’ teaching and worked as an Associate Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University.
At BiCortex she has learnt the business processes within the Operational and HR teams which allowed her to focus her work on growing and developing the B2C division of the company across all aspects, including sales, marketing, operational and budget management. More recently she has rapidly developed BiCortex’s translation and legalisation service, offering global support to our customers. Maggie has an important role developing client relationships and adapting BiCortex’s services to fit the needs of the client, end customers and assignees.
Maggie is British and has been living on Portugal’s Silver Coast for 4 years with her young family. She speaks intermediate European Portuguese and continues to work on her language skills.

Kirsten Thornton
Translations Manager
Kirsten joined BiCortex in 2023 and previously had a varied and rewarding career in criminal law, politics and the third sector.
She holds a Masters in Criminal Justice from Strathclyde University, and a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and Bachelors in Law from Dundee University.
Her studies and professional experience reflect her eye for detail as well as her ethics of fairness and openness.
Kirsten is Scottish and moved to Spain in 2020 with her German Shepherd. She has since collected another five rescue dogs and enjoys taking them to the beach or exploring the nearby mountains with them.
She speaks intermediate Spanish, basic French and beginner Russian.
